You can contribute directly to the work we do for Manchaug Pond.  Support a cause that is dear to you!

  • CLEAN WATER!  Help defray the costs of our on-lake water quality sampling, testing and monitoring which takes place monthly from April through October and our new Stream Team initiative.
  • SAFE BOATING!  Vessel Safety check held annually, educational literature at public boat ramp kiosk and in campgrounds around the pond.
  • NO INVASIVES!  This year we look to expand our efforts with other BMP options such as Diver Assisted Hand Harvesting. Currently our Weed Watcher team annually surveys the lake in a 50 point grid with kayak teams surveying the shoreline/littoral zone.
  • WATERSHED PRESERVATION: Help care and preserve the 100 acres of Beaton Farm on Waters Road, Sutton/off Northwest Main Street, Douglas. This property is rich in water resources which feed the lake as well as priority habitat for endangered species, fields, forests and the continued agricultural use with BMPs employed for our water quality priority.  New fencing is needed to keep the rescued miniature horses safe, educational signage at the public overlook, a roof for the carriage barn are just a few of the immediate needs.
  • LAND CONSERVATION:  Lets build a war chest for future land acquisition – watershed parcels key to the water quality of Manchaug Pond.

Thank you for your interest and support!  Each of us, our time and contributions both big and small, make the Manchaug Pond Foundation.
