Boat Decorating Contest Registration

With the Fourth of July celebrations on Manchaug Pond comes the BOAT DECORATING CONTEST ! Manchaug Pond has a long history of boaters flying Old Glory, and blowing horns, trumpets and other noise makers in celebration around the lake! Let’s keep that tradition going with all boats both big and small, registered for judging or not, joining in the festivities.

For the Annual Boat Decorating Contest, please meet on Sunday, July 4th at 3 PM near Blueberry Island for judging. Vessels of all shapes and sizes are welcome to enter! Past decorated entries include everything from a paddle boat and a kayak, to rowboats and jetskiis, to bowriders and pontoon boats.  If you don’t want to be eligible for prizes, recognition, and most of all, bragging rights, you can skip the registration and simply join in the fun or just cheer from the shore!

Awards and cash prizes ($75, $50, and $25) will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners and awarded at the August 22th Annual Meeting of the Members. You must register to be eligible for judging.

REGISTER is free, just email your entry information, providing the Captain’s name, telephone #, boat make & model, and decorating theme. You’ll receive a confirmation email with your entry number to be prominently display on both sides of your vessel, visible to the judges.
