Boat Decorating Contest Registration

With the Fourth of July celebrations on Manchaug Pond comes the BOAT DECORATING CONTEST & PARADE! Manchaug Pond has a long history of boaters flying Old Glory, and blowing horns, trumpets and other noise makers in celebration as they “parade” around the lake! Let’s keep that tradition going with all boats both big and small, decorated or not, joining in the festivities.

For the Annual Boat Decorating Contest, please meet on Sunday, July 4th at 3 PM near Blueberry Island for judging. Vessels of all shapes and sizes are welcome to enter! Past decorated entries include everything from a pedal boat and a kayak, to rowboats and jetskiis, to bowriders and pontoon boats. After which we will do the slow cruise around for all to see. All boats are asked to follow the route around the lake allowing the judges full viewing of your artistically decorated entry and giving all shoreline and roadside spectators a sight to remember! If you don’t want to be eligible for prizes, recognition, and most of all, bragging rights, you can skip the registration and simply join in the fun! Please hop in your boat and pull up as we go by or just cheer from the shore!

Awards and cash prizes ($75, $50, and $25) will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners and awarded at the August 26th Annual Meeting of the Members. You must register to be eligible for judging.

TO REGISTER email your entry information, providing the Captain’s name, telephone #, boat make & model, and decorating theme. You’ll receive a confirmation email with your entry number to be prominently display on both sides of your vessel, visible to the judges.
