Manchaug Pond is noted for it’s bass fishing. The best time to fish for bass is early in the day or the last hour before sunset. Tonight’s catch was enough to make any fisherman’s heart skip a beat!
A true beauty, this bass weighs in at nearly 6 lbs and measures close to 24 inches – good for this heavily-fished great pond.
When shown to this fisherman’s neighbor, the only question to ask was “What did you catch it on !?!”
The response: “A rake! It was floating near the shore.”
