Manchaug Pond Foundation Education

Share the love: Learn more & volunteer!

This just came in for you! The Blackstone Heritage Corridor is offering a great educational opportunity -to train you to teach others how to keep our waterways clean!  Love the lake? Want to get out into the community? Could learn a little more? This training is for you!Manchaug Pond Foundation Education

Our watershed model, Enviroscape, needs a special someone to bring it out into the community!  This class will teach you how to show others the importance of clean water and how our activities as we live, work and play impact our pond, the river system and beyond. Its a one-on-one, up close, hands-on, visual experience where you pour colored water, dirt and other stuff on the model demonstrating how rain and run-off can bringfertilizers, animal wastes and pollutants into our waterways.

This training session is tomorrow evening, Thursday, March 9th at 6:30 p.m. in Whitinsville. To register contact Suzanne Buchanan at BHC by email or by phone at 508-234-4242. If you can’t make it and are interested, contact us at the Manchaug Pond Foundation.

You don’t have to be a scientist, teacher or public speaker, just be you showing others how to keep Manchaug Pond clean!
