Get together at the Members’ Social to bring the Manchaug Pond season into full swing! An old time cookout with door prizes and family activities for adults and children alike are planned as we celebrate 50 years of action for Manchaug Pond!
This year we’ll be down at the YMCA boat house and waterfront from 11:00 Am to 2:00 PM, Satuday, June 24th serving up a menu reminiscent of past MPA meetings of hamburgers and hotdogs with old favorites of Paul’s seafood chowder and Helen’s Bakery fudge brownies. Special activities, games and contests are planned for all ages: bring your oldest vintage MPA t-shirt, are you the oldest member, or the youngest! Door prizes will be awarded every 15 minutes with a grand prize of a Lake Art framed wall art map of Manchaug Pond awarded at 1:45 PM. Swimming at the Camp Blanchard waterfront is also an option.
Children are the focus for family fun with a supervised activity area planned with activities and crafts ranging from building a”Lake in a Bottle”, making paper Bear dolls or a house for pollinators, to decorating a sugar cookie, guessing jars, trivia and hula hoops contests and more. A professional ballon twister will entertain with free popcorn served.
MPF Logo Gear will be on sale with many new surprises: Tee- shirts, lake photos, Lake Art wall art, cribbage boards and playing cards, mugs and more!
Proud of our accomplishments together as the MPA/MPF, each paid members receive a complimentary MPF dock plaque announcing our 50 years of service and your dedication as a member to display on dock, mailbox post, or home featuring the MPA/MPA logo in an attractive and reflective form!
